Grant me Thy grace, most merciful Jesus, that it may be with me, and continue with me to the end. Grant me always to will and desire that which is most acceptable to Thee, and which pleases Thee best. Let Thy will be mine, and let my will always follow thine and agree perfectly with it. Let me always will or not will the same with Thee: and let me not be able to will or not will otherwise than as Thou will or will not.
Grant that I may die to all things that are in the world and, for Thy sake, love to be despised, and not to be known in the world.Grant that I may rest in Thee above all things desired, and that my heart may be at peace with Thee. Thou art the true peace of the heart. Thou art its only rest. Outside of Thee, all things are hard and uneasy. In this state of peace, in the self-same that is in Thee, the one sovereign, eternal Good, I will sleep, and I will rest. Amen (cf. Ps. 4:8). – Imitation of Christ, Book III
Novena to the Infant Jesus: Child Jesus, I call on you and I implore you to assist me in this necessity, because I firmly believe that your divinity can assist me. I confidently hope to obtain your grace. I love you from my heart and all my soul. I am sincerely sorry for my sins and I ask you, good Jesus, to give me the power to overcome them. I resolve to never offend you, and to suffer everything rather than displease you. Henceforth I want to serve you faithfully.
For the love of you, Divine Child, I will love my neighbor as yourself. Jesus, most powerful Child, in your goodness, grant me this special favor(Mention your request). Divine Child, great omnipotent God, I implore your boundless mercy, for a favorable answer to my prayer during this novena. Grant me also the grace of possessing you eternally and of adoring you with Mary, Joseph, the holy angels and the saints. Amen.
Prayer to Our Lady of Sorrows: O Most Holy Virgin, Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, by the overwhelming grief you experienced when you witnessed the martyrdom, the crucifixion, and the death of your divine Son, look upon me with eyes of compassion and awaken in my heart a tender commiseration for those sufferings, as well as a sincere detestation of my sins, in order that, I may long for the eternal Jerusalem, and that henceforth all my thoughts and all my actions may be directed toward this one most desirable object. Amen.
